Collection of Personal Information
We collect the following types of personal information in order to provide you with the use of Cadoo Services, and to help us personalize and improve your experience.
Information you provide to us: We may collect and store any information you provide us when you use Cadoo Services, including when you add information on a web form, participate in chats, or dispute resolutions, or when you otherwise correspond with us regarding Cadoo Services.
Authentication and Fraud Detection: In order to help protect you from fraud and misuse of your personal information, we may collect information about you and your interactions with Cadoo Services. We may also evaluate your computer, mobile phone or other access device to identify any malicious software or activity.
When you download or use our mobile applications, or access one of our mobile optimized sites, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. We may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as advertising, search results, and other personalized content. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable location services in the device's setting's menu. If you have questions about how to disable your device's location services, we recommend you contact your mobile service carrier or the manufacture of your particular device.
How We Use the Personal Information We Collect
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a secure, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We may use your personal information to:
provide Cadoo Services and customer support;
process transactions and send notices about your transactions;
verify your identity, including during account creation;
resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
manage risk, or to detect, prevent, and/or remediate fraud or other potentially prohibited or illegal activities;
detect, prevent or remediate violations of policies or applicable user agreements;
improve the Cadoo Services by customizing your user experience including to provide or recommend features, content, social connections, referrals, and advertisements;
measure the performance of the Cadoo Services and improve their content and layout;
manage and protect our information technology infrastructure.
We may contact you via electronic means or postal mail to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, or as otherwise necessary to service your account. Finally, we may contact you as necessary to enforce our policies, applicable law, or any agreement we may have with you. You may opt out of receiving any promotional messages from us by following the instructions in those messages. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, about Services you have requested, or our ongoing business relations.
Security of information
We take security seriously and take numerous precautions to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information. Your Personally Identifiable Information resides on a secure server that only selected personnel and contractors have access to. We encrypt certain sensitive information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that your Personally Identifiable Information is safe as it is transmitted to us.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect data and seek to partner with companies which do the same, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from the Website, and are not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive any such information.
Sharing of Information
We may share your personal information: (a) with partners and service providers that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf, or for data centralization and / or logistics purposes; (b) with vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf; (c) in response to a request for information by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (d) with law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our User agreements, Terms of Service, or policies, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cadoo or others; (e) in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company; (f) if we otherwise notify you and you consent to the sharing; (g) in an aggregated and/or anonymized form which cannot reasonably be used to identify you; and (h) if you use social sharing features or other related tools which let you share actions you take on our Services with other apps, sites, or media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the social sharing service. Please refer to the privacy policies of those social sharing services for more information about how they handle the data you provide to or share through them.
If you wish to cancel your account, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that in some cases we may retain certain information about you as required by law, or for legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law. For instance, if we believe you have committed fraud or violated our Terms, we may seek to resolve the issue before deleting your information. Cadoo will comply with individual’s requests regarding access, correction, and/or deletion of the personal data it stores in accordance with applicable law.
